This impressive arch and computer controlled, 3-screen backdrop combination was massive... It was as wide as a football field !!! At the top of the arch was a grouping of gigantic speakers.
The arch changed several different colors and hues
to accent the colossal screens... quite impressive...My favorite part of the show by far was when the GIANT, lemon shaped disco ball made is grand entrance. It had to be 70 feet high!!! Intense light was shined upon the spinning `lemon` which illuminated the whole stadium into a virtual `disco tech` !!! DAZZLING...
BUT STEVE ----
WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC ???
Exactly... This concert was visually stunning, however the music was to `POP` for it's own good. It seemed to me that even their old (good) songs were re-vamped into dance hits???
To my dismay there were 3 teenage girls to my left -- dancin' and smokin' weed.
To my right was a 45 year old mom flailing about like a fish out of water???
THEY ALL DANCED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CONCERT !!!
The old U2 was a rock band ... the new U2 wants to be a dance band... Bono knows rock ... Bono don't know dance... nuff said
